Hidden in the ground until 1974, the Terracotta Warriors are one of China’s most popular and marvellous attractions. The army of over 7000 life-size, individually crafted and preserved figures of warriors and horses lay buried with the self-proclaimed first emperor of Qin for over 2200 years.

The walk along the Great Wall was terrific. Also the cycle ride in the country and Terracotta army of course were the highlights.

The Great Wall was the most memorable part. None of the pictures really do it justice, the views are amazing. We went about 60KM away from Beijing and set off early. It was really worth it as it was not crowded at all and we almost had the Wall to ourselves.

The "Guilin/Yangshuo" segment was the most enjoyable, the place was scenic and relaxing, and we had lots of options for activities from kung fu to cooking class.

The guides in each city were excellent, and the group guide Lucy was just tremendous - excellent ambassador for both the tour operator and China! The kids really enjoyed it and got to see some things that exposed them how other people live just to survive.
