Khao Sok tour, three days, Thailand
It’s hard to pick out the best bits; the whole 3 days were fab. For me it was probably the scenery at Chieow Laan Lake which is without doubt the most beautiful place I have seen. The children loved swimming and canoeing in the lake. (more)

Seeing such a massive range of scenery, plus having a knowledgeable guide with us, to explain some of the history and culture of the places we visited. Awesome trip! Highly recommended.  (more)

We've decided that there were higher points, like elephants, tuc-tucs and boat trips but that the whole thing merged into one great experience. (more)

We had a wonderful time at this village. It was a good blend of relaxation and excursion. The host couple, Noi and David are very warm people and made efforts to make this trip a memorable one for us. Our 19 month old had great company with the village kids. (more)

It was all terrific. We are four- a seven year old, a 16 year old, my wife and me. Trying to find a holiday that suits everyone is always hard - this holiday did that and more! ... A gem of a company and a gem of a guide!  (more)

Family adventure holiday in Thailand
We all have different highlights, but generally agree that the day we had a boat trip down the Maekok river, followed by an elephant ride where we got to ride the elephants like a mahout and then spent a night in an Akha village, was our most memorable day. (more)
From £1880 including UK flights
Northern Thailand family holiday
What we liked the most was the variation in the program - culture - nature - sports (could have been little bit more) - homestay - and definitely NOT to forget the Thai cooking!!...It was an unforgettable adventure! And our local guide did her utmost to make all comfortable for everybody!! Good job!! (more)

Walking on a completely empty long golden beach, watching the monsoon rains from our windows and kayaking in the mangrove swamp and watching the monkeys were the highlights. (more)

Udon Thani accommodation in Thailand
Pick up at the airport as promised and whisked through the darkness to a fantastic, isolated villa, with the sounds of crickets and insects only for nightlife. Not a neon light or disco within many tens of miles. A stunning horizon pool beautifully surrounded by the villa and acres of grounds to explore. (more)
From Baht6800 - Baht8900 per villa per night (sleeps 6)

Thailand travel information

Bangkok may appear increasingly westernised, but even here in the capital city modern life is underpinned by a strong sense of history and tradition. The network of canals (khlongs) offers visitors a different view of city life from that which is presented in the teeming bustle of the streets. There are over 300 Buddhist temples and shrines within the city limits, and among other sites of interest are the Pakkard Palace, National Museum and famous floating market.

In the central plains, the ancient city kingdom of Sukhothai is a World Heritage Site and covers a huge area of palaces, temples, pavilions, lakes and waterways. There are numerous community-based trips and visits available in Thailand, especially in the north around Chiang Mai, where the rich heritage and traditional lives of the various hill tribes can be experienced by staying in local villages.
