Seeing was believing when it came to the Taj Mahal, not many places live up to be better than you anticipate as this place did. My wife and I have done some travelling, but this has to be the most impressive building we have ever witnessed. (more)The visit to Comandancia De Plata was absolutely fascinating, seeing where the Revolution began and how they lived whilst fighting Batista. I also loved all the outdoor swimming we got to do - in the Caribbean near the Bay of Pigs, in cave pools & rivers in Topes De Collantes, all so refreshing. (more)
Snorkelling off Phan gan and visiting the archipelagos were the best moments for me, but tubing in the rain forest and feeding the monkeys is a close second. (more)
The beauty of the country and the people was the highlight. Some of the most warm and friendly people I have ever come across. Very safe in the areas we travelled and absolutely amazing art for very little money. Loved it!! For the kids the most memorable part of the trip was the elephant ride, but for me there really wasn't a particular exciting event. Instead, it was the combination of really challenging aspects of Indian life... and the rapidly changing and growing economy. (more)
