Memorable parts? Not sure I can narrow it down to one thing! For starters, the area was incredible. Think spectacular limestone mountains, lush green countryside, wild coastline and fresh air...so much fresh air! Jamie was great at choosing walks that were tailored to the weather and the abilities of our group. And I'm really not into birds, but even I was excited to see a rare vulture cruising overhead. Memorable parts? The overnight stay on a junk boat in Halong Bay was definitely one of the highlights. The boat was fantastic quality, staff were very pleasant and the food was some of the best we had on the holiday. Add that to the amazing scenery and it made for a fantastic end to the trip. The other memorable thing is just how nice, friendly and helpful the tour leader (Kakada) was - he really pulled out all the stops to make sure we had a great time. Tips? We had quite a few... Memorable parts? Hiking on a glacier, coming face to face with penguins in Punta Tomba, canyoning down a 40 metre waterfall, meeting all my new friends Tips? There were so many highlights to this holiday which covered so many countries... Staying the night in a hilltribe village in northern Thailand, snorkling on the coral reefs around Ko Phi Phi, 4x4 driving, drinking tea in a tea plantation in the Cameron highlands...exploring great cities like KL and Singapore. Kayaking around beautiful such shores in beautiful weather - but also kayaking in strong winds and rain, which was exciting and challenging! On the second day, Amir our instructor showed us a fantastic blue lit cave that could only be reached by jumping out of the kayaks and swimming through a small entrance – lots of fun. Memorable parts? One of the most memorable things was the beautiful Carpathian countryside and the people working in the fields as of yesteryear. I've never met someone who could talk with such knowledge about geology, widlife, country lore. Tips? The holiday was fantastic...It is hard to choose our favourite moment. Between the two of us, it is jumping off the Kayaks for a gorgeous swim in the really warm lake Skadar. There are moments, even in the middle of the day, when the lake is a giant mirror, because there are no boats or traffic. Memorable parts? Arriving to the Sun Gate at 6am after the Inca trail...and seeing the clouds moving away and revealing Machu Picchu! The homestay in the peninsula of Lake Titicaca was also the most amazing experience as was the bus ride from Puno to La Paz... those views of the Lake Titicaca were so beautiful, both on Peruvian and Bolivian side!
