Gorillas!!!!!. Interacting with them was the most exceptional experience elf my life and the biggest adrenaline rush I have ever had. Its is without comparison. The Masai Mara was amazing, will decamping was a buzz and White water rafting on the Nile was an amazing experience but being close to the African people(especially the happy kids) and not isolated in 5 star resorts made the trip a once in a lifetime experience. (more)Mark Asquith
It was excellent. I would go again tomorrow... it was such a fabulous trip from the start in Kigali to the end in Nairobi. Seeing the gorillas was obviously so special and memorable and the rafting in jinja was an unexpected highlight. Oman small group tour
Memorable parts? 'Most memorable' is a hard call - I lost count of the number of times we said, 'Isn't that amazing!' Going to St George's Basilica for the Christmas Eve service on 6th January. How the stars blazed when we camped 12,000 feet up in the Simien mountains. Staying in a traditional house in the old quarter in the Muslim town of Harar. Meeting the Scottish lady who is setting up a restaurant in Lalibela. Tips? Take full advantage of the tour operators knowledge and experience... (more)Helen Yapp

Morocco small group adventure tour
Memorable parts? I loved the night in the Sahara and travelling through the High Atlas Tips? There is a lot of time spent on the bus so bring a good book. Also remember the driver sees this landscape all the time and while it is extraordinary to us to him it's not so shout stop when you need to and get off to admire and photograph. Local benefits? I feel it may have had some benefit by bringing income into some of the more remote areas but I don't feel I spent enough time... (more)Jane Matthews
From £579 - £595 excluding flights
Laos small group holiday
Memorable parts? The boat trip down the Mekong. So relaxing. Tips? Keep luggage to a minimum. Laundry facilities are widely available and you'll have more room in your case for purchases. Local benefits? Yes. Local village people, prosthetics provision and literacy help having a direct effect on Laos citizens. Overall rating? Very interesting and well paced. (more)Chris Williams

Small group holiday to Burma
Burma is such a fabulous country to visit - our itinerary included one or more highlights every day. The crowning glory of our tour was our guide Po. He looked after our group of six as if we were family. (more)Stephanie Diggon
It was all new and exciting for that reason …… very heart warming to see what is flourishing in Myanmar and also fearful that some not such good things come with the advent of more tourism. Our trip to Pagan and Inle Lake are the highlights for me. (more)Jane Edington
Excellent. At times the pace was demanding, but there was so much to see and take in I wouldn't have wanted to ease up more. (more)Duncan Taylor

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Sri Lanka and the tour aspect was well organised. We particularly enjoyed the variety of activities and accommodation. Best bits were the trip to the rock fortress and Yala where we saw leopards and a big black bear which apparently was very rare. (more)jude parsons

Small group cooking holiday in Thailand
I loved the Central Plains homestay, after Bangkok it was amazingly beautiful and peaceful. All the cooking schools were so beautiful and peaceful, and the food was amazing! (more)Suzanne Smith
The most memorable part of the holiday was definitely the cooking ... and all the eating. Swimming in the Andaman sea was also a real highlight. (more)Shelley Kennedy
The cooking and the eating were the most memorable! Fabulous. (more)Stacey Cooper
From £2225 including UK flights
Winter adventure in Finland
Every day was an adventure, so difficult to single one experience out really, but I'll go for the husky sledding. We expected someone else to be driving - controlling the dogs yourself (though I use the word "control" in the loosest sense) was utterly exhilarating. The accommodation and surroundings were fabulous too. (more)Jonathan Green
Excellent experience, good taster of the best that Lapland has to offer. Beautifully snowy countryside and not as cold as I expected. Most memorable was overnight husky safari, getting to bond with your team of dogs. Then running out in our pyjamas to watch the northern lights! (more)Amanda Newnham
The two day husky safari was the most memorable part... A great variety of activities to wet your appetite. (more)Ian Wilkinson
From £1645 - £1772 including UK flights
Lapland family winter adventure holiday
Riding the snow mobiles over the most beautiful landscape in Nellim and experiencing the true culture of Finnish Lapland has to be the best, but there were so many things that we loved...other included tours that we did like the husky safari, cross country skiing, snow shoe walking... (more)Brenda Foster
The husky sledding was the most interactive and therefore enjoyable day...We had a very happy and relaxing time. The local activities (Haariniva) guide Jaako was a particularly motivated, able, caring, patient and sensible guy. The hotel facilities and staff were very good. (more)Alastair Deery
The holiday was, quite simply, fantastic and it is difficult to pick "best bits". For me it was simply being outdoors in a very different environment. (more)Elizabeth Johnston
From £1495 - £1645 including UK flights
Overland tour of Kenya to Rwanda, gorillas and gameparks
Memorable parts? Seeing the gorillas. Visiting the Pygmy village. Tips? Bring long trousers and T-shirts to cover up in Uganda. Pack lightly as there is laundry at the campsite. Local benefits? Yes, particularly when visiting the Pygmy village and the Kenyan school. My trip was the first 19 days of a longer 75 day tour. Whilst I did not go on this activity I know that later in the longer tour they go on a lion walk. I would urge you to research the company that runs this... (more)Genevieve Isherwood
From £495 excluding flights
Photography tour in Vietnam and Cambodia
Memorable parts? Having Nathan Horton on the trip gave a very interesting slant to an already enjoyable holiday. Nathan had a flair for taking the group to places which were not on the tourist trail and this was very much appreciated. His photographic tuition was well worth the premium paid for this service and my photography improved whilst enjoying the country and the people - Boom. Tips? Just enjoy it. One tip is that Nathan does not hike at a leisurely pace and, as a resident... (more)John Martin
From £3100 including UK flights
Angkor Wat tour
Memorable parts? First sight on Angkor Wat before sunrise, silhouetted against a dark sky. Tips? Bring sunscreen! Local benefits? We had a great local guide, but I was concerned about the impact of our big, air-conditioned bus & noisy diesel longtail boat during the trip up Tonle Sap. I'd like to know more about how money from tourism actually infiltrates the local economy. I'm concerned that tourism is creating a dependent, vassal class of native servants & merchants. (more)Diane Pittman
From £650 - £805 including domestic flights only
Finland winter activity holiday & Northern Lights
Memorable parts? The scenery was just fantastic, and I really enjoyed being with the huskies. The whole experience was like nothing I've ever done before. Tips? Be reasonably fit and you will enjoy the trip more, and don't go directly from a warm climate without acclimatising somewhere for the cold beforehand. Local benefits? The holiday provided jobs for the locals, and the opportunity for other foreign staff to work in and experience/understand the Arctic region. Overall... (more)Jonathan Gilbert

Cambodia holidays, Phnom Penh & Angkor
Fantastic window into cambodia. we needed a few days on a thai beach to assimilate it all. (more)Anna Bradley
So many things were amazing. Seeing the sun rise at Angkor Wat, trekking in the Kulen mountains and camping overnight at the monastery at the top. My daughter would say it was riding on an elephant, something she has always wanted to do. (more)Janet Potts
Rather to my surprise, given that I went solely to see Angkor, the most memorable part was probably eating real food in local Cambodian eating places...I would rate is as well constructed and well led - and well enjoyed. What more could I have wanted? It was perfect. (more)C Beels
