Mekong adventure holiday, Laos & Cambodia
Memorable parts? Every day was something different, we walked through jungle; rode elephants; explored caves and sailed in wooden boats, sometimes we used a wooden plank, sometimes we were knee deep in the river! We saw amazing temples and wooden huts that the locals lived in, we saw how people lived and how they dried peppers in their satellite dishes! There were sad parts too, understanding the legacy of the Vietnam war, unexploded bombs everywhere and maimed people. However, the people... (more)Colin Smith

Morocco small group adventure tour
Memorable parts? I loved the night in the Sahara and travelling through the High Atlas Tips? There is a lot of time spent on the bus so bring a good book. Also remember the driver sees this landscape all the time and while it is extraordinary to us to him it's not so shout stop when you need to and get off to admire and photograph. Local benefits? I feel it may have had some benefit by bringing income into some of the more remote areas but I don't feel I spent enough time... (more)Jane Matthews

Bolivia & Amazon jungle holiday
Memorable parts? I loved the Bolivian salt flats which were astonishing (although shockingly cold at night), and the pampass tour, especially swimming in the river and having the dolphins come up and nuzzle me! Tips? Bring extra warm clothes for overnight sleeping on salt flats - there is no heating and although the salt hotel is not too cold, the 2nd night is really really cold. If you're flying direct into La Paz give yourself 1-2 days to aclimatise (take it slowly). I arrived... (more)Paul Brant

One of the best I have had, a truly wonderful experience...the trip to Machu Picchu stands out just because it is such an iconic place, but the rainforest, the desert, lake Titicaca, Cusco, Colcha Canyon, were all brilliant places to visit. (more)David Greaves

Memorable parts? Getting close to gorillas in their forest home will be unforgettable. The Nile boat trips are excellent also. Tips? Just go. Don't expect to see lots of big cats (although we did see some lions and leopards) - but seeing the gorillas is very special and the rest of the wildlife is great also. Local benefits? Benefits local people only in so far that hotels and guiding provide jobs. Benefits the environment because visitors create a reason for the national... (more)Gerard O'Hanlon

Memorable parts? Seeing the gorillas. Visiting the Pygmy village. Tips? Bring long trousers and T-shirts to cover up in Uganda. Pack lightly as there is laundry at the campsite. Local benefits? Yes, particularly when visiting the Pygmy village and the Kenyan school. My trip was the first 19 days of a longer 75 day tour. Whilst I did not go on this activity I know that later in the longer tour they go on a lion walk. I would urge you to research the company that runs this... (more)Genevieve Isherwood

Memorable parts? The SEA LIONS are great encounters. Especially on San Cristobal Island being such close proximity with them on beaches is almost unheard of anywhere else in the world! That is a real specialty of the trip! Walking the Volcano surfaces on Isabel Island was amazing too! Tips?
