Buenos Aires to Rio de Janeiro tour
Memorable parts? There were a number of great parts to the holiday and it is impossible to single out one simply due to the diversity of the experiences we had. The whole holiday was amazing, but if I had to name the top three things I would say (in no particular order!) going to Iguazu Falls (especially the boat ride under the falls!), the boat trip we went on in Paraty and just being in Rio. Tips? If you want to see Buenos Aries or Rio (and I suggest they're worth seeing!!) then... (more)Carol Clutton

Burma is such a fabulous country to visit - our itinerary included one or more highlights every day. The crowning glory of our tour was our guide Po. He looked after our group of six as if we were family. (more)Stephanie Diggon
It was all new and exciting for that reason very heart warming to see what is flourishing in Myanmar and also fearful that some not such good things come with the advent of more tourism. Our trip to Pagan and Inle Lake are the highlights for me. (more)Jane Edington
The most memorable parts are hard to choose between the wonder of Shwedeagon Pagoda with all it's glittering gold, river journey down the Ayeyarrwady and first sight of Bagan, then cycling around it, relaxing time on Inle Lake, and visiting the botanic gardens in Pyin U-Lwin and the hills of Kalaw. Budget Thailand holiday, a taste of Thailand
Memorable parts? I enjoyed so many things about my holiday, I had a truly fantastic time but if I had to choose I would say the hill-tribe trek, that was a great experience for many reasons, I especially loved seeing the tribes & the breath-taking landscape it was unbelievable I thought, a special experience. Tips? To travel as lightly as possible during the hill-tribe trek as it can be rather demanding especially the first day & make sure you have the correct footwear. Be prepared... (more)Gary Remekie

Turkey adventure holiday
Memorable parts? Cappadocia - the hot air ballooning and the walk through to our new home stay Ortahisar. Tips? Ensure the guide offers competitive prices. I think that the price of the hot air ballooning was potentially double/more than what another group offered but we were "on the spot" with the decision and there was no comparative pricing and the marketing push was that everyone including all the other groups were fully booked. It was a very expensive trip. The cheaper tour... (more)Robyn Chalmers

Thailand activity holiday, bike, hike & raft
Memorable parts? The first village stay on the hill tribe trek - we were the first group to stay in this village, and the kids were so excited to see us that I think we became a free babysitting service to the whole village for the entire night! Tips? Be prepared to 'rough it' and bring a sense of adventure with you. Many of the nights accommodation involve some form of shared accommodation with the whole group - think home stays, bamboo huts when trekking, house boats, and sleeper... (more)Hannah Gausden

Memorable parts? The terracotta warriors at Xi'an and the Great Wall. Cherry, our guide although very young, was dedicated and gave us great tips and help when choosing restaurants and outings. Our group integrated very well and everyone was on time for going places. Tips? Travel light, but do take toilet paper!! Local benefits? We certainly used local transport (busses, trains and only once taxis). Overall rating? Most enjoyable. The only thing that didn't work out... (more)Sheila Taylor

Japan tours, The Land of the Rising Sun
Memorable parts? We chose the 'Narrow Road to the Deep North' tour, where , as part of an international party of 10 we followed in the footsteps of the poet and writer Matsuo Basho into the northern region of Tohoku with its soaring tree clad slopes, hidden monasteries and sand fringed tranquil lakes. The tour started and ended in Tokyo and included art galleries and museums, cafes and cobweb bars, parks and gardens, sushi and sake and convivial companions, we were loath to leave. As we moved... Memorable parts? The cranes in Hokkaido. Tips? None - it's so different for everybody. Local benefits? First no, second yes. Overall rating? Phil Colley is a very good tour leader. For me, personally, there was too much "town-stay" and not enough cultural visits. (more)Berrut Anne-Laure

The most memorable part of the holiday was the friendliness and openness of the people - in the street as well as ones we met more formally through homestays and tours. The music in every bar - some cheesy - some excellent. (more)David Jockelson
We had an excellent time and made some good friends. The leader was very good and did her best to advise, inform and enthuse us at every turn. She was honest, open and did her best to pass on her enthusiasm for her country, while being prepared to discuss its idiosyncrasies in an informative and thoughtful way. (more)Sarah Walker
Most memorable parts were being taught salsa, merengue and reggaeton by the locals, diving off the coast of Trinidad, having a barbeque on our own private beach and visiting our tour leader's farm and meeting his family and friends. (more)Suzy Gray

Memorable parts? Chitwan as a place, seing Rhino from the back of an elephant and being sang to round a fire by the accomodation owners 9 year old son!! Tips? Plenty of small notes, be prepared for the amount of rubbish and litter in India, the walk in Chitwan, it's long and on paths and bridges that don't exist, make sure your happpy with this kind of walk before taking part but don't let it put you off trip, one person form our group stayed in town and got to see the elephants...
