Burma is such a fabulous country to visit - our itinerary included one or more highlights every day. The crowning glory of our tour was our guide Po. He looked after our group of six as if we were family. (more)Stephanie Diggon
It was all new and exciting for that reason very heart warming to see what is flourishing in Myanmar and also fearful that some not such good things come with the advent of more tourism. Our trip to Pagan and Inle Lake are the highlights for me. (more)Jane Edington

Budget Thailand holiday, a taste of Thailand
Memorable parts? I enjoyed so many things about my holiday, I had a truly fantastic time but if I had to choose I would say the hill-tribe trek, that was a great experience for many reasons, I especially loved seeing the tribes & the breath-taking landscape it was unbelievable I thought, a special experience. Tips? To travel as lightly as possible during the hill-tribe trek as it can be rather demanding especially the first day & make sure you have the correct footwear. Be prepared... (more)Gary Remekie

Buenos Aires to Rio de Janeiro tour
Memorable parts? There were a number of great parts to the holiday and it is impossible to single out one simply due to the diversity of the experiences we had. The whole holiday was amazing, but if I had to name the top three things I would say (in no particular order!) going to Iguazu Falls (especially the boat ride under the falls!), the boat trip we went on in Paraty and just being in Rio. Tips? If you want to see Buenos Aries or Rio (and I suggest they're worth seeing!!) then... (more)Carol Clutton

Turkey adventure holiday
Memorable parts? Cappadocia - the hot air ballooning and the walk through to our new home stay Ortahisar. Tips? Ensure the guide offers competitive prices. I think that the price of the hot air ballooning was potentially double/more than what another group offered but we were "on the spot" with the decision and there was no comparative pricing and the marketing push was that everyone including all the other groups were fully booked. It was a very expensive trip. The cheaper tour... (more)Robyn Chalmers

South India & Kerala holiday
Wonderful, fabulous, went beyond my already high expectations. Everyone should do this one, it's a gem. (more)Dorothy Shirvell
This is a fantastic way to be given a taste of what a wide area of the south of India has to offer, and helps highlight places to which a return is required! (more)Gail Boardman
The highlight was when Peter Lemass organised a car and driver for my wife and me so that we could go round Ooty and Ketti to see where I used to live as a boy. Also the Rock carvings at Mahabaliporam. Also the stay with Thomas in the Kerala backwaters. (more)Roger Hamer

Memorable parts? The variety, colours, smells, religions, history, companionship of the group, the care taken by the tour guide (Bruno) and his friends, food, birds and wildlife, Kandy Perahera Festival, elephants, children, public transport, roller-coaster driving and overtaking, cycling, trekking, Buddhist temples, the variety of fruit, flowers, smiling. Timeless Thailand holiday
The temples in Angkor Wat / Siem Reap were incredible. The roads in Cambodia were pretty memorable as well [though for a completely different reason!]. (more)Candy Owens
Great country, fantastic guide, very friendly and welcoming local people. Would book another trip with same company but especially Thailand if I could get the same guide as she really helped the group come together and made sure everything went as smoothly and was as much fun as possible. (more)Louise Massen

Thailand activity holiday, bike, hike & raft
Memorable parts? The first village stay on the hill tribe trek - we were the first group to stay in this village, and the kids were so excited to see us that I think we became a free babysitting service to the whole village for the entire night! Tips? Be prepared to 'rough it' and bring a sense of adventure with you. Many of the nights accommodation involve some form of shared accommodation with the whole group - think home stays, bamboo huts when trekking, house boats, and sleeper... (more)Hannah Gausden
From 855 - 970 excluding flights

Cambodia - the temples of Angkor Wat are a true gem; Phnom Penh and its museums as well as the recent Cambodian history were heart breaking but very educational. (more)martina kocjan

Memorable parts? The terracotta warriors at Xi'an and the Great Wall. Cherry, our guide although very young, was dedicated and gave us great tips and help when choosing restaurants and outings. Our group integrated very well and everyone was on time for going places. Tips? Travel light, but do take toilet paper!! Local benefits? We certainly used local transport (busses, trains and only once taxis). Overall rating? Most enjoyable. The only thing that didn't work out... (more)Sheila Taylor

Japan tours, The Land of the Rising Sun
Memorable parts? We chose the 'Narrow Road to the Deep North' tour, where , as part of an international party of 10 we followed in the footsteps of the poet and writer Matsuo Basho into the northern region of Tohoku with its soaring tree clad slopes, hidden monasteries and sand fringed tranquil lakes. The tour started and ended in Tokyo and included art galleries and museums, cafes and cobweb bars, parks and gardens, sushi and sake and convivial companions, we were loath to leave. As we moved... Cuba holiday, small group
The most memorable part of the holiday was the friendliness and openness of the people - in the street as well as ones we met more formally through homestays and tours. The music in every bar - some cheesy - some excellent. (more)David Jockelson
We had an excellent time and made some good friends. The leader was very good and did her best to advise, inform and enthuse us at every turn. She was honest, open and did her best to pass on her enthusiasm for her country, while being prepared to discuss its idiosyncrasies in an informative and thoughtful way. (more)Sarah Walker
Most memorable parts were being taught salsa, merengue and reggaeton by the locals, diving off the coast of Trinidad, having a barbeque on our own private beach and visiting our tour leader's farm and meeting his family and friends. (more)Suzy Gray

All of the holiday was fantastic. I particularly enjoyed the train journey from Beijing to Lhasa. The visit to the nunnery was fun. There was nothing on my trip that I didn't enjoy so it's hard to choose 1 thing I enjoyed most. (more)Jules Palmer
Excellent....Go with an open mind, an attitude of adventure. It is a different country. You will not find the same facilities as at home. The food is different. But it's all part of the adventure. (more)Yoginee Patel
It was very memorable and exciting, and a good idea to go on a tour through a country that would be difficult to navigate alone. (more)Laura Tomlinson
From 2585 - 2790 excluding flights
Holiday in Umbria
Memorable parts? Wine tasting in Spello. Tips? You will benefit from not following the crowds thru Rome, Venice and in between. Some of the best shops, people and sights were along the narrower, less popular streets. Local benefits? I know it did. We stumbled on a very local benefit cook-out for a church restoration in Venice. We enjoyed dinner there which also included a live band, and felt good that proceeds were going to a good cause. Overall rating? Great. It... (more)John LaMonica
