UK holidays

UK holidays are about so much more than a weekend break. You need a week at least to discover the wonders of Scotlandís islands or Highlands. You could spend a fortnight in Pembrokeshire and still not find every beach. Or ten days walking through the lakelands of the Cumbria Way. And of course, you can cover the whole shebang in three weeks, cycling from Landís End to John O Groats. Itís one big beautiful Kingdom.

Isle of Mull and west coast of Scotland cruise
Memorable parts? The whole of our holiday was wonderful. The crew were all great, friendly and so helpful. The food was delicious every meal, and plentiful too! The cruise was the best way to see some of Scotlandís beautiful scenery and wildlife. The only fault, we wished it didn't have to end! Tips? Don't forget your binoculars. Sensible shoes and a waterproof for when up on deck and the weather damp. Local benefits? I am not sure about these things as we didn't buy any... (more)julie Clease

Scotland island hopping holiday, car free
Memorable parts? Traveling without a car made us travel with less, slow down, and engage more with people around us. So we had a wonderful time meeting people from Scotland and all over, which was great. Tips? Recognize that you'll spend a bit more time getting between places than you otherwise might, so let go of the rush to "get there". And pack light. Local benefits? Hiking holidays in Scotland
Memorable parts? The walking, the food, and Rebecca and Andy's hospitality. Local benefits? Andy and Rebecca have tried really hard to create a B&B which offers a very comfortable experience but yet limits the environmental impact. Everything that can be recycled or reused is, but yet at the same time this doesnít effect the quality of the service offered and I feel this certainly adds to the whole experience and ambience of the lodge. Overall rating? An excellent holiday,... (more)Ruth Seward
