I am reborn! Simply the best holiday I have ever been on
Some great stories to tell the grandchildren. Would recommend to a friend
The whole of our holiday was wonderful. The crew were all great, friendly and so helpful. The food was delicious every meal, and plentiful too!
The cruise was the best way to see some of Scotland’s beautiful scenery and wildlife. The only fault, we wished it didn't have to end!
Don't forget your binoculars. Sensible shoes and a waterproof for when up on deck and the weather damp.
I am not sure about these things as we didn't buy any... (more)julie Clease
The crew were marvellous, and nothing was too much trouble, with a number of elderly passengers on our cruise, all was taken in their stride. (more)Gerald Peppiatt
We were a small and delightful group. The boat was cozy and comfortable, the landscapes and cloudscapes, sublime; and the day trips and hikes, especially our visit to Iona and its sacred and ancient abbey were vitamin C for the spirit. (more)Patricia Knowles
So much: seeing Dolphins, Basking sharks, Minky whale,
otter, seals. Making new friends and experiencing 5* dining
You will need good mobility as daily explorations can be over
rough terrain. Take good midgy repellent and creams.
All animal sightings where recorded and reported back to
a central database. Remote isles benefited from additional spend on their produce
Both my sister and I loved this holiday.... (more)Barbara Bishop
The whole experience was wonderful, particularly enjoyed the dinghy trip round the Burnt Islands reserve where we were treated with great views of the
Common Seal colony. Also enjoyed discovering another world through the microscope investigating plankton samples. (more)Andrew Swales
No light pollution and clear skies allowed for spectacular stargazing. As an added bonus we got to collect and view plankton under the microscope, a truly unique experience. (more)Catherine Egginton
Increased our awareness of the interplay and delicate balance between various species of flora and fauna - in particular, plankton. (more)Marilyn Hands

The most memorable parts were the stunning scenery and peaceful moorings. The wildlife especially the seals and beautiful shoals of jellyfish floating like alien creatures in a calm sea. (more)Fiona Morrison
Amazing. The accommodation was warm, clean and comfortable. The showers were hot! The food was excellent and plentiful. The bar prices were very
reasonable. The outdoor equipment was sound and well maintained. The instructors were patient, friendly and informative. They did their best to ensure that everyone in the group was happy. They were particularly reassuring for those beginners in the group. (more)Sian Tyers
Unbelievably good. Exciting and fun. Scenery fantastic. Staff amazing.

Mull is a wonderful island where you will not find a disappointing view. The wildlife trips organized as part of the holiday package were excellent. Each trip was conducted by very professional and knowledgeable experts covering all aspects of the local flora and fauna. (more)David Hayers
We had a great time - relaxing, some beautiful experiences (beaches, hills, islands and all the above animals). We were in bed every night by 9.30pm - tired but blissfully comfortable after a day spent exploring. (more)Jayne Obeng
Perfect!....The best thing about the holiday was having no internet connection & very little mobile coverage. It made it a total break away & allowed us to appreciate everything about the location of cottage & the amazing surrounding area. It was a complete break away which is what a holiday should be. (more)Kirstin Robertson
Fantastic. Lovely cottage, very well stocked and furnished. Very friendly and helpful owner. The cottage is spacious and in bad weather you can sit and gaze into the garden and listen to the birds. (more)Helena Poldervaart
We were intrigued to stay in a house made of straw bales and to see how recycling/ reuse can be put into practice and good effect.- we were not disappointed! We found the photo albums showing the building of the house really interesting.
Going through the whole process of watching the sheep being sheared, working with the fleece, gathering plants to dye with, creating amazing colours and then using them to create my felted wall hanging. (more)Kathy Lovatt
The experience was incredible, better than we imagined. It was magical to work with all the natural materials in such a beautiful setting. Ten out of ten. (more)Robin Lentz
I loved it...I personally love venturing in to nature and the creative element meant I also left with something which I can now use back home (more)Katrine Roberts
The feeling of being able just to enjoy the natural beauty. The hospitality of the B&Bs
Start at Avebury, rather than Overton Hill
Excellent (more)Tjarda Murray
The walk the first day. The directions prepared by the holiday provider were terrific and the selections for the walk was great. It combined great sea views with a walk across the Down.
Ability to choose which of the four walks to take. Each were described well. My advice would be to not overdo it. Choose what you want and leave the others
I think so. We took the train down and the bus to where we hiked. We stayed at a great bed... (more)Richard Clark
The weather was amazing but even more so were the wonderful crew - Steve, our chef - so inventive and creative. He went out of his way to make sure we all had food we loved, but also stretched our taste buds in the way he cooked and displayed the dishes. Iain our skipper made sure all needs were catered for. For example I made an off-the- cuff remark about another hook in my cabin. When I came back from my walk there it was! Another passenger had difficulty walking- he took... (more)Etta Geras
Great. Created some fun memories and yes I would recommend it to a friend. (more)Kath Cox

Staying at the eco lodge enables the nature reserve to be sustained and there are plenty of local farm shops, a fantastic local butchers (with lovely cheeses as well as very good meat and chutneys) and pubs close by to enjoy! (more)Rebecca Swarbrick
The location was superb with amazing views overlooking the glen. We learned fascinating traditional skills, collecting lichens and bracken fronds from the woods and making up a wide range of natural dyes, using open wood fires. We dyed fleeces and fabric, mixing our colours, which were astonishingly vibrant and ready to take on to the next step for spinning or felting. Rosie and her family were very welcoming and gave us wonderful outdoor lunches.
Bring sensible... (more)Annie Hibberd
Traveling without a car made us travel with less, slow down, and engage more with people around us. So we had a wonderful time meeting people from Scotland and all over, which was great.
Recognize that you'll spend a bit more time getting between places than you otherwise might, so let go of the rush to "get there". And pack light.
We were in small hotels except for the extra nights we added in cities, and staying in small towns. So... (more)Mark Gurvis
The trip was definitely successful not just for the activities but due to the people I sailed along with who made everything fun and entertaining and it was often difficult to move from the table, the stories were so overflowing. (more)Alison Hosker
I loved the whole atmosphere of being on the St Hilda, learning about how to sail a boat and discovering the wildlife around us. Sailing towards Arran under the blue sky was absolutely fantastic. Also, fishing for our dinner and catching lobster and crabs in our lobster pot was so exciting! (more)N.Z
During the course of the week one cannot fail to be impressed by the sights seen on the Thames Path, sadly the planned programme didn't allow time to visit these places.
To make sure that the daily walks are within their capabilities, even though the paths are on the level. The Thames path is well maintained but it was noticeable as you approached London, through London and to the east that a number of the signs had been vandalised/pointing in the wrong direction....
