Walking in Valencia Region
The high sierras of Alicante, the rugged gorges of El Maestrazgo of Castellón and the rolling hills of Valencia Region have some of the best walking opportunities of the entire Iberian Peninsula. Cycling in Valencia Region
The combination of excellent surfaced roads in the interior of the Valencian Region, plus many off road trails leading into the mountains, with high quality rural accommodation and sun practically guaranteed for most of the year make the Valencian Region an ideal place for cycling. Popular with international cycling teams drawn by the fine weather in spring and autumn plus the empty well maintained roads, cyclists of all ages and ability can enjoy the splendid scenery and terrain to be found here.

Climbing in Valencia Region
With more than 200 climbing locations in the Valencian Region, there is plenty of variety for rock climbers, boulderers and sports climbers of all levels of ability. The three provinces of the Region; Alicante , Valencia and Castellón each have their own distinctive climbing areas, which are easily accessed and which are usually close to country villages or coastal resorts so that finding accommodation is never a problem. On limestone cliffs, canyons and gorges, the routes range from simple climbs for beginners to some of the most demanding ascents in the entire Iberian peninsula. Water sports in Valencia Region
With 450 kilometres of coastline, comprised of sandy beaches, rocky coves and wide bays the Region is ideal for Valencian Region watersports of all kind, from yachting to windsurfing and kiteboarding to kayaking. Stable winds between force 2 and 4 for 90 percent of the year, sheltered clear and warm seas with excellent access to beaches, marinas and ports combine to provide perfect conditions for both beginners and experienced surfers and sailors alike.
