Most memorable was staying in a remote raft house in the middle of a lake surrounded by rainforest and gibbons!

The Halong Bay overnight boat trip was fascinating, the trip into the Mekong Delta most enjoyable, but perhaps the two days in Hoi An gave us the best flavour of the country - varied activities and relaxing.

The food - absolutely delicious everywhere we went, even the meal cooked by our guide in a Tay minority homestead where we ate with the family and drank rice wine welcome shots. Phu Quoc Mango Bay resort - peaceful, eco-friendly, lots of options. The scenery - highlights, Mount Fan Xi Pan from Sapa and Halong Bay.

It was a great holiday, and it is very hard to single out one thing. Our trip to the northeast was one of the best bits (I was honoured to be invited to join the other giggling grannies on the floor of the Tay house - if only I was as limber as they are!).

Sailing around Halong bay, Motor cycling through the back streets of Hue, dancing with the children in the villages were the highlights.

The guide had 14 years experience as a kayak guide and knew the best places, away from the crowds. On the last day, the guide took me to a cave and lagoon he had only recently discovered.

The land was beautiful, the people friendly, and the prices exceptional. The operator’s selection of hotels was very good, especially the luxurious Hilton Hanoi Opera, where we spent the final 4 nights.

The most memorable parts of our trip must be the crazy cyclo tour through the streets of Saigon and eating insects in a bar overlooking Phnom Penh!

Most memorable was cycling through the paddy fields in Vietnam - something few tourists would normally see in Vietnam... Very well organised & good local guides with excellent knowledge... Already looking for a new challenge to work towards and more countries to experience.

The whole holiday was wonderful, memorable experience. However, the culture and people of Cambodia touched my heart in a very special way. Thanks to our guide, Channy, our small group had a chance to visit Angkor temples in times when they were not overcrowded
