The ethnic markets, the train trips, the hotels and staff, our guides, the high quality, safe, late model 4 wheel drives and excellent drivers (since we went on some steep and slippery roads), meeting local people and seeing the beautiful country, people and amazing Hanoi were all memorable.

Our trip to the northeast was one of the best bits (I was honoured to be invited to join the other giggling grannies on the floor of the Tay house - if only I was as limber as they are!).
