The most memorable part was going out with a research vessel from Lossiemouth (Scotland) and watching how the sonars for dolphin research were replaced. This provided an insight into "real" conservation work.

The best moments were the tree frogs, manu poison frog and the rainbow boa! I really enjoyed the construction of the bird hides and biogarden even though sometimes it was really hard work! Pancakes for breakfast were great!

Romania is a beautiful spectacular country, so from the moment I was travelling from Bucharest to Brasov I knew that I had come to a really excellent destination. I was very impressed by the people who run the sanctuary on a daily basis particularly Laci & Emi and Mateusz our driver!

Meeting the people of Laos, especially the Monks and Novices, and seeing the Laotian countryside. It was the most formative experience I have ever had. I would urge any and all people to apply

Working with people who are dedicated, informed and enthusiastic about conservation in a practical and realistic way. And of course, seeing the wildlife as they are meant to be....This holiday was a life changing experience and will affect what I do next in my career and attitude to conservation.

The host families helped us learn some of their language, customs, farming practices, crafts, cooking, and generally how to enjoy life without electricity! We didn't see another white person the whole week - wonderful!! I cannot recommend it highly enough.

I went to the Wildlife Rescue Centre in Thailand, this was a fantastic project helping animals who had been mostly kept as pets. It’s hard to say what was the most memorable part of this holiday as there was so much variety and different experiences, it’s difficult to decide what was the best part of it.

I think that The Book Bus project is a brilliant, useful and original idea. Kids and teachers were really happy to see us and to receive the books. Delivering school books in a place where they are scarce and expensive make a great difference for the students.

5 stars! My best experience abroad in the last 30 years.....Working with sea turtles: seeing turtle nesting and releasing baby hatchlings was absolutely fantastic

The holiday was the most amazing experience and I would definitely recommend it. I had an incredible time working with the elephants, the staff at the Park and the other volunteers. I also had the opportunity to do some fantastic trips and excursions in my free time culminating in a tandem skydive which was amazing!

The concept behind this project is really well thought out and it’s a credit to the organizers. Defiantly my most memorable part was the interaction with the local people, especially the kid’s classes. The animals were great, however it’s the people that made it special.

Overall this holiday was brilliant I had no idea what to expect before I went but I had so much fun, met lots of lovely people, learnt about a new culture and felt I was able to give something back to the community.

Meeting the bears and being able to really make a difference to their day-to-day lives with enrichment, feeding and cleaning; some of the things we were doing (such as enrichment to keep the bears active and happy) wouldn't get done unless we were there to help out!

Most memorable? Working with the children and seeing how eager they were to learn. The landscapes and wildlife were stunning.

The most memorable parts of the holiday were the friendliness of the children and other volunteers, club activities with the students, snorkelling and the traditional Malay dinner.

I had a thoroughly enjoyable five weeks on this expedition and met a fantastic bunch of people. The expedition in Costa Rica had only been going for a year or so when I was there and as it evolves it will doubtless get even better.

Being with the elephants and their handlers. Having the big bull elephants walk past you, just inches from your face, leaving you to feel completely small and vulnerable as these pre-historic like mammals move by with grace, softness, power and majesty!
