Arctic diving & Polar Bear Watching Expedition
From
€3,020
excluding flights
Memorable parts? All of it! The extremes of weather, the diversity of animals, the quality of the accommodation and facilities, and something you can't plan for - new found friends! Tips? Don't set your heart on seeing anything specific. Be prepared for the changes in weather. It's not as challenging as I expected - to take account of the huge spectrum of ages and abilities. But most of all HAVE FUN! Local benefits? Not so much the local people, though we did buy a lot... (more)Lisa Thomas
Isle of Mull and west coast of Scotland cruise
From
£1,926

Memorable parts? The whole of our holiday was wonderful. The crew were all great, friendly and so helpful. The food was delicious every meal, and plentiful too! The cruise was the best way to see some of Scotland’s beautiful scenery and wildlife. The only fault, we wished it didn't have to end! Tips? Don't forget your binoculars. Sensible shoes and a waterproof for when up on deck and the weather damp. Local benefits? I am not sure about these things as we didn't buy any... (more)julie Clease
Scotland cruise, Skye and the Small Isles

Memorable parts? So much: seeing Dolphins, Basking sharks, Minky whale, otter, seals. Making new friends and experiencing 5* dining Tips? You will need good mobility as daily explorations can be over rough terrain. Take good midgy repellent and creams. Local benefits? All animal sightings where recorded and reported back to a central database. Remote isles benefited from additional spend on their produce Overall rating? Both my sister and I loved this holiday.... Be warm but also have some smart casual clothes to wear in the evening.
