A fantastic taster of different landscapes and activities - excellent chances of seeing a range of wildlife. Well organised, fab pre-trip info and assistance despite a last minute booking, and really friendly and professional guides.

All days and trip were memorable, but above all watching elephants crossing the river 30 metres away from us having lunch in Old Mondoro was the most. We are definitely satisfied.

We had a wonderful time at Mfuwe Lodge in South Luangwa but the highlight of our week was going back to Chingola on the Copperbelt where we had taught for 3 years in the early 70's.

Returned tired (in the last days I did abseil, rafting, micro light, travelled for 36 hours,..) but really enjoyed it! The most memorable parts of the holiday; saw a lion on a tree, the lake with hippos in new year, the new friends.

Its 5.45am in South Luangwa National Park. In the copper-grey half dawn we gather around a still smouldering camp fire and prepare for the ultimate bush experience – a walking safari in which we can expect to track and see South Luangwa’s heavy brigade of elephant, buffalo, hippo and possibly even lion. Without a qualified guide to escort us we’d not be troubling the caterers for lunch. Ten years ago 80% of safari guides in the valley were white. Now 80% are Zambian and Daudi Njobvu explains what to do if we come across a four legged juggernaut having a bad day. Read more about Zambia safaris in this Zambia article.
