Economic responsibility
Gamewatchers Safaris aims to conduct its business in a responsible manner and to generate economic benefits for the local community where our tourism enterprise is located.
We aim to see that there is a fair and equitable distribution of the economic returns generated by our tourism business so that these reach the members of the local community.
We wish to play our part in creating improved economic standards for our fellow citizens of Kenya by operating our business responsibly.
Environmental responsibility
Through our project at Selenkay we are actively involved in conservation.
At Porini Camp, we aim to ensure that proper tourism management practices are followed to protect the environment and to avoid tourism having adverse effects on local cultures and local habitats.
Social responsibility
We are concerned to see that the local community should derive positive benefits from tourism and should have the opportunity to earn livelihoods.
At Porini Camp and in the Selenkay Conservation Area we have a policy of employing staff from the local community and we have been involved in supporting community projects including provision of education and water supply.
