Our company is wholly Nepalese owned and operated and the team members of the company are selected from the area we travel in. We support the local industries and indigenous people. Trek Nepal Int'l has been contributing to several schools and orphanage centers that were affected during the conflict in Nepal. Some of the accommodation that we use along the way are charity based lodges, so the money we pay goes to the orphans and disabled children of that village for their education expenses. Ultimately, we aim to be involved in community and environmental projects that will benefit our people and our country.
We carry out all of our rubbish with us, an expense that unfortunately not all the operators see as justified. Our cooking is done over adapted gas or kerosene stoves –never firewood. We urge our clients to bring warm clothes for evenings, as we do not believe in campfires. We strongly believe in ‘nature based adventure.’
We try to preserve and promote trails, terrains and local culture by persuading tourists to visit places again and again and by providing immense information regarding the place they are visiting and its local culture. The local inhabitants welcome you warmly, and are more than ready to chat about their culture and yours. They present a cultural program during tea house and home stay treks. During home stay treks home cooked meals and locally grown vegetables are served; this is beneficial for both locals and travelers.
