Alentejo Adventures
Alentejo Adventures is specialised in offering activity-based holidays around the picturesque town of Vila Nova de Milfontes perched on the banks of the river Mira Estuary on the South West Coast of Portugal. The activities take place within the stunning scenery of the Vicentina Coastal Natural Park and the accommodation type used is that of small and friendly family run guesthouses.

Economic responsibility
- We are a major employer in the area and have been integrated into the fabric of the local community since 1992.
- We support various community projects such as the Polytechnic College, old people homes, the fire and ambulance service and athletic and football teams.
- We always uses local guides, guesthouses and restaurants who are paid at market rates.
Environmental responsibility
- We ensure that all our customers are informed of the strict rules regarding their impact on the environment when taking part in activities within a Natural Park, in particular the walks along the dunes.
- Posters and leaflets in our guesthouse, as well as our route book notes, emphasise the do’s and don’ts for the area.
Social responsibility
- We actively encourage our customers to interact with local community in a responsible manner.
- Our tour guides and route notes divulge invaluable tips on social behaviour, simple phrases of good mannered introduction and local customs.
- We recommend restaurants and shops selling locally produced goods.
