Masakala Guesthouse

The Masakala Guesthouse is situated in Masakala village, 8 km from Matatiele town (close to Kokstad) on the border of the Eastern Cape and Kwazulu-Natal. This mountainous area is known as the Maluti region (former Transkei). The guesthouse provides a comfortable and secure base for visitors who want to stay for the night, experience rural life and explore the beautiful surroundings by foot or by horse. It is run and owned by people from Masakala village. Traditional entertainment, horse riding and tour guiding are also on offer by individuals or businesses in the village.
