1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

We expected the finca to be lovely but it far exceeded our expectations. The Garden Cottage was perfect for a couple who wanted privacy but still all the facilities of the shared areas.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Go on the La Graciosa day trip, eat at the tapas bar in the corner of the harbour, order some food from the deli and enjoy it in your courtyard, relax!

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes. The whole finca is off the grid and the chickens supplied lovely eggs.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Excellent!

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Watching the sun rise out of the sea, seeing shooting stars in the beautifully clear night sky, morning swims in the pool whilst having the pool all to myself! Far too many wonderful things to mention here!

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

If you want to jam pack your holiday with seeing all the sights then you should hire a car but if there's only one or two attractions you want to see, don't bother. All amenities are within easy walking distance, and the owners will also hire out a car for single days at reasonable rates. Don't worry about packing teabags or munchies for when you arrive as there is an on-site honesty shop that has all the basics at reasonable prices.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

The finca is completely off grid, run almost totally on solar and wind, and the water comes from their own well so I think it's about as ecologically sound as it could be. We bought all our groceries from the village so I feel the local businesses benefited.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Fantastic! Whilst we were there most of the other guests were couples with young children but as a childless couple we were catered for just as perfectly. The finca is a beautiful place, the owners are friendly and helpful, very peaceful and chilled but also friendly and social. The day trips we went on were enjoyable and hassle-free, but time spent at the finca was wonderfully relaxing too. Can't praise it enough!

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Lots to choose from. Probably the power-boat trip to La Graciosa, followed by a couple of hours of flying kites on the beach and watching the amazing Kirsty do her kitesurfing thing.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

If you have children, try to book into the Finca. The children have a free run of the site, and enjoy mucking about together. Sometimes we felt a little out of it in our cottage - though the cottage was beautiful, and well-equipped. If you don't like battling strong winds, don't hire a bike!

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

Yes. We shopped locally, ate in small restaurants run by local people, and booked the holiday with a small, family-run concern.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Great experience, wonderful hosts and beautiful surroundings.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Discovering Lanzarote was not over run with the 'brits abroad' stereotype

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Go out of season, stay inland / away from the large resorts and expect many things other than beaches to do & go to the island to the north

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

Presumably some money to the local people (but not through the markets which were huge but not very good), other than the flight yes quite light on the environment

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Brilliant & unexpected, 2 weeks is very long if you donít want to lie on a beach all day, but more than enough to do for 7 - 10 days. Go to the caves.
