1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The whole thing was memorable! We saw all the animals we could hope for, most of them in great numbers and really close up. Perhaps the very best was when we came upon first a mating lion couple and then, a few km away, the rest of the pride with mums and cubs nursing and playing. Absolutely amazing!

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

The safari camps are quite basic, so although camping means you get very much closer to nature - we had jackals and zebra actually come through our camps at night - and although the support team did a great job making us as comfortable as possible, some experience of camping is probably an advantage.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

Absolutely, we had lots of interactions with locals everywhere we went, and unlike most safaris this one included two days of cultural programmes that were a major plus point for everyone in our group.

review 29 Jan 2006

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Staying in a bush camp site, watching three lions less than one kilometre away from the site.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Open your mind and your spirit to new and wonderful feelings.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

Yes, we were visiting some villages, knowing about their costumes and how are they are looking for solutions to their problem with the new situations (mass-tourism, global warming, etc...) They were really glad with the goods we carried for them.

4. Any other comments?

It's good to know the weather conditions before going. Tanzania was superb because it has been raining; Kenya was different because of the draught they are suffering.
