1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Everything! The build up with the amazing Tess and Amanda at the holiday providers were fantastic. The Birkenhead House is the best hotel I have ever stayed in,truly wonderful, the rooms, food, location and the staff were all above anything i have ever experienced, really wish it was a quick flight away for weekend breaks! Tess was right when she said we wouldnt want to leave..we didnt! The Shark Diving was truly a bucket list ticked, always wanted to see the Great Whites and they didnt disappoint, incredible, wanted to do it again but sadly one of the days was cancelled due to bad weather.Loved Hermanus and all that surrounding coastline, just breathtaking.Cape Town was fun,we had a wonderful guide Ash from Jarot Tours,he was so lovely and talked about everything with such humour,he made the 3 days we spent with him just perfect,it was sad to say goodbye! Then the last leg at Thornybush was like a scene from childhood storys, never imagined we would actually see as much as we did, never mind Leopards and Black Rhinos, which considering they only had 7 in 35,000 acres of private reserve,we saw 2 different ones,so magical and humbling. We had the best guide Christoff and his spotter Hendrik, who were amazing and patient with our questions and giggles! We were so glad we booked an extra night there, most people seemed to spent 2/3 days on Safari, but i feel we built up a great relationship with everyone and every single morning and evening drive we saw something different, magic, truly magic...we just hope the rains hit hard for them soon,as so many animals are dying from the drought, which is heartbreaking, that and the dreadful poaching.Thornybush was a wonderful place, our rooms were gorgeous, the electric blankets at night were a definite a high point..!!! Must just name Advice who looked after us at meal times,we miss her still. One thing i must say about the little we saw of the amazing South Africa was how clean everywhere was, puts us Brits to shame! The people were all wonderful, everything was wonderful,I felt very sad to leave! This is our second holiday with Responsible travel, the first being in Baja to see the Grey Whales with the wonderful Nic Slocum,we gained lovely friends from that trip and have made some more new ones on this trip. Im already looking into our third trip with you guys in the future, more of Africa still to see! From start to finish you guys make it all so very easy, thank you!

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Just do it..!!

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes,especially the Great White Shark conservation team at Marine Dynamics. Thornybush to,all the wonderful produce we ate came from locals not far away, who in turn also supported there nursery school,my sister and I flew out with so many crayons, felt tips, pencils and chalks for the young children up there,we wanted to do something if only very small to help!

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

I would like to tick your 5 star I am reborn box,but this trip is equal to our Baja one, very different adventures, but both truly magical,South Africa may just have the edge as no horrid jet lag..!!
