1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Excellent walking advice from Jon and Carol plus use of all their maps.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Brecon was smaller and quieter than expected but perhaps it was because we went just before a Bank Holiday weekend. Not a huge choice of eating places, and prices similar to London due to lack of competition.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

We had a delicious ice cream just down the road from the Bridge Cafe.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Super duper but then the sun shone and we had a heatwave all weekend. Fabulous scenery, and the location suited us extremely well. Would recommend the Bridge Cafe as a good place to stay.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Falling head first off my bike going too fast down a country lane (I'm not very experienced!) and also getting to the top of the mountain to see the amazing views and feeling very proud that despite bike injuries (minor) I made it to the top!

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Make sure you take proper climbing shoes / gear and lots of water - it's a long hike! We're pretty novice and it wasn't too hard, but we're fairly fit. Perhaps a bit of practise going up some hills would be useful if you're not in good shape.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

The owners of the B+B aren't local as such (not born and bred in Brecon), but are fully integrated into society. They were fantastic - they organised the bike hire, gave us a packed lunch, maps etc. The cakes and breakfast in cafe are brilliant and very comfortable rooms. Couldn't have been better. They serve mainly organic local produce so that must be good for environment. We got around on foot or bike, so that has to be good. However we did drive from London - but there were 4 of us in the car. I think it would have been hard work w/out a car as you have a few more miles onto any walk as you'd have to start in Brecon town. I don't think I'd be up for that!

4. Any other comments?

One of the best weekends away I've ever had. I'd love to come back. Thanks. I think you have a great website and I'm very keen to minimize impact on environment while still travelling!

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The most memorable part of our holiday was the arrival at the B&B. Not knowing what to expect we hoped for the best and were not disappointed. The welcome was great, the place fantastic, and all so normal!

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

The B&B have maps if you want to go walking and also know where to eat. Their walking knowledge is excellent because they have done many of the walks.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

We didn't use the car and we ate in Brecon itself.

4. Any other comments?

The hosts were fantastic and really looked after us whilst being extremely professional in their role as café owners. The breakfasts and all food was exceptional and they really made an effort with Steve's gluten free diet. Both the boys loved the cooked breakfast and have begged us to buy the same bacon they had there! John's excellence with the coffee's made sure we never missed our afternoon coffee. A truly magical few days where the weather was kind, the walking breathtaking and the accommodation and food first class. I would give it four stars, in fact we booked again for next year.
