Bill Kenwright review 26 Oct 2011
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
The views over the wild countryside of Southern Spain, combined with the light, which was strikingly clear and sharp.
2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Liaise with the company about your walking ability and the difficulty level of the proposed walks.
3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?
Up to a point. We spent money in the local cafes/ restaurants but the main outlay was to Brit expats.
4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Very successful, well organised and good value for money. We were very well looked after and the trip ran on oiled wheels.

We are sorry that it was not immediately apparent but we do make a very significant contribution to the local economy in the pueblo of Torrox. Three quarters of all our income is spent there on such things as food, restaurants, car maintenance, petrol, house cleaning, local labour, building work etc. Included in this expenditure is payments to the owners of the houses from whom we rent. This money is paid in Euros and helps to maintain the houses and pays for building works, house cleaning and local taxes. We are very proud of the contribution we make to our local economy and hope very much that we may continue to contribute in this area of very high unemployment during the current economic downturn.
