1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Machu Picchu was wonderful but also really enjoyed the Uros Indianson the floating islands.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

If you enjoy shopping for bargains then Pisac market is great. Make sure you take plenty of camera memory for lots of photos. If staying at the hotel in Yucay, near Ollantaytambo then the walk up into the mountain opposite the hotel then take picnic lunch as it is a wonderful walk with lots of flowers and birds.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

Yes.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Excellent - thoroughly enjoyable but Amazon extension was a little disappointing as there are too many people there and so the wildlife gets frightened away but the accommodation was wonderful.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The two most amazing pieces of the holiday were finally arriving at Machu Picchu and the truly beautiful lodge in the rain forest.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

While I was there, there was a week of travel strikes which affected taxi, rail, and bus so we were trapped in the not very exciting Puno. My second week was pretty dull and I didn't get to see the archaeology around Puno/Cuzco I had hoped to. Beware.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

A little. We visited local weaving community and the families on the floating islands of Lago Titicaca. They are very poor and seem to appreciate the money we brought for food and the little gifts we gave the children.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Some real highlights, but due to the strikes, not as good as I had hoped. There's a lot of poverty there, but it is a very laid back and generally happy culture. A real shock coming back to coffee the price of someone's daily wage.
