1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

I loved the scale of the number of pagodas in Bagan. It was truly amazing.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Keep an open mind. This is a country that is relatively new to the broader travel circuit and amenities are simple but this makes it even more charming.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Absolutely. I felt that we spent our money with local people at all times

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

10 out of 10. Interesting, rich culturally, exciting and immersive.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Early morning in Bagan looking from one of the higher stupas over the whole plain. Amazing, and unexpected highlight.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Go now - imagine Myanmar will change a lot - signs of more western oriented travel facilities being built- will country lose magical chairman?

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Lots of local restaurants used - no international brands used - still major problem with plastic useage and waste.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Very good holiday, made exceptional by tour leader.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Very difficult as there were so many.... But I suppose I have to say an evening spent in the Hi Ar in Kalaw. Locals enjoying each other's company with singing to guitars was simply enchanting. The tone, the energy, the result and their acceptance of a visitor wishing to partake of their nightly entertainment....

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Respect the local customs, obtain more up to date information relating to changing monies and use of ATMs / credit/ debit cards, take a travelling pillow with you if you dislike hard, chunky ones. Learn a few words and make an effort to use them while meeting and being assisted by those around you

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

I would like to think so...it is a country in transition and I only hope the visitors it attracts are the ones that are not arrogant, badly behaved , rude, mean nor disrespectful....... The 'action- reaction' nexus always ensues. Currently the vast majority of people are so welcoming with their greetings and beaming smiles. And yet one fears it will change bit by bit... Their beliefs carry them through and their sharing to help a fellow human being is exemplary. Something sadly not experienced widely in the West. But a little goes a long way... A little gift, a smile, a greeting a little politeness..... Environmental impacts - hardly. Pollution is dreadful but similar to all other poor third works countries. Support conservation -hardly... Perhaps as the economy and appreciation grows, so will such matters. It took us a long time not to achieve that much so let us not set the bar too high...

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Excellent.... Great insight into a fascinating country, superb people. A great bunch of fellow adventurers led by a marvellous and most able CEO. A tremendous success...
