The most memorable part of the holiday was the locations of the campsites. Right there in the midst of the wild life... we drifted off to sleep to the sounds of hippo's deep bellied chuckles, lion's roars and elephant's trumpeting. Magical! (more) |

Highlights were encountering the endless open space, which is almost unspoiled by human "civilization", riding alone at Khovsgol and being amazed by the capability of the Mongolian horse.

Every morning we opened the curtains to the most beautiful scene of the mountains and alpine meadows. The Romanian Carpathians are untouched and covered with wildlife and wild flowers. Our favorite thing was the visit to the Shepherd's camp. (more) |
