It was lovely to meet Cuban's everywhere and chat with them (our Spanish was limited but got better through the trip). In Havana we met locals and other parents around the city, it was wonderful for our daughter to play with Cuban children. (more) |

You cannot quite believe how close you are to the Caiman and the Giant Otters fishing in the early morning sun on a Manu lake nor does any photo prepare you for the excitement of watching a Jaguar search for its breakfast on the bank of the river. (more) |

There are too many memorable moments to pick just one, but a few would be the sight of Jhomolhari by full moon at base camp, the sight of monks wandering freely around town doing their shopping, the calmness yet exuberance of Buddhist temples, the drama of the Dzongs and the beauty and serenity of the scenery. Relaxing place surrounded by flowering trees. We saw 15 of the 54 birds on their list. They are close to beaches, even though on a breezy hill next to the university's conservation area, with a view up to the great volcano. (more) |

Its hard to pick out the best bits; the whole 3 days were fab. For me it was probably the scenery at Chieow Laan Lake which is without doubt the most beautiful place I have seen. The children loved swimming and canoeing in the lake. (more) |

Most memorable parts were white water rafting along a river with spectacular scenery, leaping into rock pools on a hot day canyoning, swimming in the Mediterranean after an invigorating hike, eating trout at an idyllic "tree house" type restaurant after biking through little villages... (more) |

The Koh Sok National Park trip with the kayaking company was truly amazing. Climbed a waterfall, saw a wild baby elephant and heard the singing gibbons. Lived like the locals and ate plenty of wholesome Thai food. No frills but no illnesses either! (more) |

When we got to the Berber/Nomad tent it was out of this world, I cant put into words what I thought - it was just amazing. After dinner I went and sat on a dune and it was stunning, the amount of stars I could see in the sky was unbelievable. (more) |
