1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
The wildlife . Seeing lots of different lemurs in their natural habitats , gaining an interest in chameleons/iguanas .
Lying in the tent at Camp Amoureux at midnight listening to the sounds of the lemurs and the forest at dark.
Excellent Guide called Desire.
2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
be aware of the different climates and temperatures .
Vakona Lodge was cold and wet, and didnt have enough info that some warm clothing would be needed, high level of fitness required for Mantadia National Park .
3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes definitely. especially impressed with Camp Amoureux 44 km from Morondava .
became aware of the precious resources of water and electricity .
Became aware of environmental impacts but also local people needs for survival and how this could be integrated for their benefit .
4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Absolutely excellent , very well organised by the travel company, with very few hitches considering the remoteness and difficulty of travelling around.
Lovely local guide.
Challenging as it was my first trip like this, with a great deal of walking in some tough terrain.
Felt invigorated by being motivated by the guide to keep going

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Seeing a largish hognose snake slither across the path and under the balcony of the chalet I was staying at. It was the first time I've ever seen a snake in the wild.
2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Be prepared to cope with heat! The operator was very helpful in offering advice on the dos and don'ts - their travel pack included a good list of things to take. You don't need all of it but in fairness you do need quite a bit of it.
3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?
I like to think we helped.
4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
I really enjoyed the holiday overall - despite having a stomach bug at one point. It was interesting seeing the differences in people and culture as we moved from the dry forests to the rain forests. Our guide was excellent and very informative & enthusiastic. The wildlife could be hard to spot - you definitely needed guides/spotters and provided quite a challenge to get decent photos of - as a photography enthusiast I was more than happy.
