1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
This is a very difficult question to answer as the whole trip was extremely memorable and exciting, but if I have to choose, it was the first moment that I saw the gorillas. This moment will stand out in my memory as one of the great moments of my life. I was moved to tears.
2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Stay longer in each place and try and get more than one permit to track the gorillas. Also, make sure that you are fit.
3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?
I hope so and I hope that we rewarded the people who were so wonderful at guiding us appropriately. Also, I hope that the money that is paid for permits, etc, does help to allow wildlife and people to live side by side
4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
This was the trip of a lifetime and more than fulfilled all of my hopes for it. I had been scared that something would go wrong or not be as we had imagined it might be, but I worried unnecessarily. It is one of the best things that I have ever done.
