1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
I felt completely ........ alive.... if you know what I mean. There was a real sense of satisfaction, that I just don't get from my day job.
2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Embrace the work. Try out every new skill presented. Wear good boots.
3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?
The benefits to local people were, I guess, fairly minimal, but we helped the management of the environment, and keeping traditional skills alive is, I think, valuable.
4. Any other comments?
Thanks again for being the source for a fantastic holiday. I will be booking more similar holidays as soon as I can.

Home from a short stay in the UK. Your website was invaluable for ideas and options for short breaks doing conservation work - I booked with this operator on their natural break called Oakey Dokey II and Dad and I spent a weekend managing ancient woodland - cutting down juvenile oak and birch trees that were smothering the oaks that are over 600 years old. We stayed at the Sherwood Forest Youth Hostel which was excellent accommodation - clean, neat and hilariously decked out with a 'Robin Hood' theme. We stayed there from November 5th to the 7th. The food the tour operator provided was excellent, and we were also able to chat with the Ranger for the reserve who was very knowledgeable.
Not only did I have a great time, I also spent a weekend giving something back to a country I had visited, learnt a great deal about English plant species and management regimes for woodland, and have made a few very good friends that live in England too!
I have recommended your website to several people that are heading o/s soon, and no doubt they will also find it full of wonderful ideas and ways to take their environmental expertise and expand it through involvement in conservation elsewhere, or help to make ethical choices during their stay.
Thanks again, and keep up the good work, I intend to travel again soon!
