1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
The Great Wall of China; the Terracotta Army; floating down the Yangtze.
2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
It's a fast-paced holiday. Be prepared to be tired! Prepare for 5 overnight train trips - I found a sheet sleeping bag useful.
3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?
There was no obvious benefit to locals or detriment to the environment. We visited the 3 Gorges Dam which I think will be a detriment to the environment in the long run. Most of the money generated by our tourism seems to have gone to the local or national governments.
4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Excellent. The operator were well organised and our tour leader was exceptionally good. We saw all the major sites and had lots of free time.
