1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The people of Cambodia are amazing, so friendly and smiling. Also the wonderful flora and fauna, just fabulous, promenades of the river or ocean at dawn. Motor bike taxis and tuk tuks!

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

If you go to Sihanokville try and pre book the pre nup mangrove forest; we never got to do this but if you like bird watching it might be worth a try. the regular trip most people do is snorkelling and beach and the mangrove might be more interesting.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

I am sure the money we spent trickled down to the local level and benefited the local people. We were a small group so not intrusive. There was not always a place to fill up on safe water so buying bottled water and the plastic involved is a problem; need to promote recycling more, as in India. I wonder about all those people walking all over the temples at Angkor Wat; is this causing damage; it is fantastic to be able to do it but it might be worth looking at more closely.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Excellent value for money; Cambodia tugs at the heart strings and makes you want to help in some way.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

1. Angkor Wat & other temples in the area &
2. Motor bike ride outside Battembang

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Be aware that there are a lot of journeys on public buses which are not all clean.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

to some extent, not a lot

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Good, but too many long journeys on public buses - one would be enough. Rest should be by air when available or private bus/taxi. Latter is cheap and takes far less time.

Thank you for your review Patricia and I'm pleased you had a great tip with us.

We do try to minimise our negative impact on the environment in Cambodia by travelling on local buses. The rationale is that these buses are running with local people offering our travellers the chance to experience the real Cambodia while not adding to the road traffic by using private buses.

Warm regards

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Seeing the floating village (Siem Reap) and Angkor Wat.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Get your visas in good time. Don't bother bringing travellers cheques, there are numerous ATMs. No need to bring bedding (eg sleeping bag or liner) the hotels are top notch. Bring an extra memory card for all your photos.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

We went shopping in the local markets and ate at the restaurants so in that respect the locals certainly benefited from our visit. I believe the impact on the environment was minimal and certainly could not be reduced.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

I had such a good time, the size of the group was just right and the age band was not too wide. Our guide was very competent and really made the trip work, it was so stress free.
