1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The staff at Camp Tsavo. They were absolutely the best. We stayed at the camp for three weeks through the operator's 'Life' program with my family. The entire Camp Tsavo team worked very well with my daughter (15) and son (12). The projects we worked on were well organized and it was easy to see what a huge difference this organization is making in Kenya through multiple community partnerships.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

I would recommed Camp Tsavo for families that want to have a very different and rewarding experince and make a difference in both their family's and the people in the community's lives.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes. The entire program is focused on promoting wildlife conservation through education and economic development in the communities surrounding sensitive wildlife sanctuaries.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Outstanding. Highly recommended.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Community Work in Sasenyi Primary School - completing the foundations for a new classroom in record time & seeing how hard teamwork can make a crucial difference to people who have to live without much material support! But seeing six cheetahs was also very exciting!!

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Find out exactly what the accommodation offers in Camp so you can plan packing (e.g. no need to pack towels, pack old clothes which can get sand-infested & which will be much appreciated if you left for local people after use); there was much confusion on our trip - we were expecting to be slept in 'bandas' (mud huts with a bathroom), but were offered tents on arrival because a school party had been booked in prior. (Long story.. sorted eventually)

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

Yes - definitely

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Excellent experience & wonderful staff who looked after us; I'd go for 4-5 stars (shade too much driving & no 'down time' my only criticisms; apart from comment about double-booked accommodation above). Info pack prior to leaving was vague about some issues: crucially the 14th night (which was not covered, despite some 12+2 nights mention; this caught out all 3 families who were staying on in Kenya....& was expensive to sort out at short notice).
