1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

We stayed at the house for 4 nights with our teenage boys and we were so happy we did. Corinne and Benoit make you feel welcome as soon as you arrive. Breakfasts our on the terrace with homemade jams and yoghurt were delicious! Saint Jeannet is a quaint little town only about 22km from Nice so very easy to get to all the sightseeing spots! We did the cooking class with Corinne the one morning and we had great fun! If you like hiking, the mountain track is just behind the village!

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Driving yourself to Saint Jeannet DON'T follow the GPS but follow Benoit's directions. We ended up coming in the back way of the village and the roads are so narrow we had the whole town helping us manoeuvre our Sharan through the tight corners! Boys loved the adventure though! The 3 restaurants in the village our lovely but you need to book and Corinne can do that for you. We arrived late on Saturday night so Corinne booked us the little restaurant up the road which was amazing. Also book a room with a balcony so you have a magnificent view all the way down to Nice!

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Absolutely!

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

It was one of the highlights of our 3 weeks in France! Benoit does great excursions so highly recommend you go on his tours too!

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Staying in a very old village and going on 3 days of guided tours with Benoit. Benoit is very familiar with the area and with people living near St Jeannet and the days spent with him were very enjoyable and enlightening. St Jeannet is not a tourist village nor it is a deserted village. People live there and respect the history of the village. We enjoyed an open air cinema in the village square one evening and a band and dancing in the street on another evening.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Don't need to hire a car - transport to and from the Nice airport was arranged for us. Book the 3 day all inclusive package or if staying longer - go on the guided tours and do the cookery classes.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes. Local people are employed at the accommodation and the local bakery supplies the delicious bread for breakfast. We visited local industries - some which have been the same families for many generations - and bought their produce. The bedrooms and kitchen had containers in which to put recyclable materials and no rubbish was left after our picnic.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

We had a wonderful time. Benoit and Corinne were very friendly and relaxed hosts. We were very glad to have found out about this accommodation through Responsible Travel - and very pleased to have had the opportunity to visit.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The place itself was idyllic and nothing was too much trouble for the lovely couple who ran it.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Forget the Cote d'Azure for a couple of days and enjoy the village and surrounding area. You might want to book a room with a view over the coast though.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

Yes. The owners are very environmentally aware and having cars left outside the village meant less pollution for the people who live there.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Excellent.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The whole activity package, was exciting, a new venue or activity daily, without going overboard, being driven by our host/ess was the best! We learned more than we could have imagined from them both historically and culinary, very warm welcoming, the Auberge, was beautiful.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Don't hesitate to book the activity package, it is well worth it. Stay at least 3 nights and you will be v. well fussed over and given 100% satisfaction. Two wonderful owners who give all of their energy into their business, it small and v. friendly.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

Yes v. much... all our food we ate at the house was organic, home baked, and fresh fruit was supplied by a neighbour, all rubbish and waste food was recycled, the wine came from a local small vineyard. We all bought from the local stores in St. Jeannet.
