1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Skye and Fort William and the Jacobite train journey. The other members of the group also made it a wonderful experience.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Try to travel as light as possible as you move to three different centres during the week. However, be prepared for all types of weather; we had pouring rain and scorching heat during the week.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

It definitely benefitted local people. Although we travelled by train to the centres, we sometimes had to use taxis to get to the beginning of a walk because there was no bus service.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Very good.

The cliff side walk around the Isle of Skye.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Bring waterproof hiking books and prepare for changeable weather.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Our guide made every effort to book accommodations that hired local people. He was very aware of our impact on the environment. All hikes were carry in and carry out.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The fabulous scenery in Scotland, particularly on Skye. Then of course scrambling up the north face of Ben Nevis (the tourist route would have been far too easy!!!)

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Just enjoy the wilderness and recognise just how knowledgeable your guide is.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

Absolutely

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Great week, well organised, smashing guide and very nice co-hikers. Accommodation and food good. Basically it's as good as you want it to be.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

We saw so much of Scotland both on trains and on foot. The scenery is spectacular and the walking is demanding enough to be satisfactory but not too exhausting. The remoteness of Coccour was wonderful but it is a shame that the tea house at the railway station is apparently to be closed in November.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Walking poles are useful and get a little fit before joining as you will enjoy it more.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

Yes, we stayed at local B&Bs and hotels.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Excellent!
