1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Yosemite and Grand Canyon National Parks, walking amoungst the Hoodoos in Bryce Canyon and sleeping under the stars in the Navajo Tribal Lands. The children had the most wonderful time paddling in rivers, playing in the sand, climbing up rocks at the Kodachrome campsite, riding bikes in Yosemite and following the geology time-line in the Grand Canyon.
2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Mostly don't bother to pitch the tent - just sleep under the stars! Take as little baggage as possible - you live in the same pair of shorts for most of the trip. Bring spices/sauces/recipes from your home country - it's great fun to share some traditional cooking.
3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes, the tour included local shopping, eating and curio stops. Recycling and water conservation are taken very seriously in the whole area.
4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Excellent. Next time I go I will have been on a watercolour painting course and plan to sit for hours painting that amazing scenery. The guide was great, both in terms of local knowledge and in terms of herding the group.
