Lara Gisborne review 2 Nov 2012
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Really hard to choose, but I think probably the Miranda-like cry from Sarah of "it's a jewel" as we crested a part of Glen Affric in the drenching rain. I laughed so hard. And then admired the vivid greens and small trapped lake that looked like fairies and nymphs should live there. Yet again Rosie had engineered a beautiful and well judged walk.
2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Book in confidence. The relaxation week is thoughtfully planned with just the right rhythm set up, you can trust that it will work. And bring your waterproofs!
3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Rosie and Alex are a testament to living sustainably and well embedded in the local networks. My favourite bit was the bread every day, made fresh by a local baker.
4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Fantastic. I was lucky to have four other great women in the holiday too, but Rosie and Joanie made it wonderful. When ever I talk about my week with them I literally find my shoulders dropping and my speech slowing down, and the glow returning.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
The visit to Glen Afric and a lovely swim in the river there was terrific. Rosie's cooking and Joanies humour still bring smiles to my face. The combination of efficiency and good organization whilst maintaining a very relaxed and easy going feel.

If travelling by train to Inverness be aware that the left luggage department in Inverness is often closed. If you have to spend time in Inverness there is a left luggage service at the bus station nearby.

Yes, locally sourced, organic home grown food. Encouragement to share a vehicle - and to use public transport -less fuel emissions. Recycling etc.

Really good. Simply cannot think of anything negative to say about it.
