1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Amazing 360 degree views on the walks in the Maritime Alps and the relaxed but informative approach of our guide Mel. The gite is very comfortable and well equipped and the food which was prepared by Liz was delicious and varied.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Mel and Liz are very flexible with the menu and are very happy to cater for the needs of travellers with special dietary requirements - let them know in advance. Don’t be afraid to let Mel know if you have any limitations or special requests - There are many and varied options for the walking and these can be taken into account. For any days off from walking the Alpha Wolf Park is worth a visit.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Food was locally sourced where possible. Our hosts clearly have good relations with other local businesses and interact with them to benefit the local area and at the same time improve the experience of their guests and example being a local offering horse riding treks.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Fantastic in very way - a must visit destination for walkers.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

It was the trip to Col de Fenetre (mountain pass between France and Italy, ca 2400 m ab. s. l.) where we admired numerous chamoises, marmots and even ibexes.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Use your own car (or rented car) as the nearest shop in walking distance is more than one hour.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Local accommodation and living style as a whole has been ecologically suitable. Various interesting places can be reached by hiking. As the holiday was connected with the work on the NP Mercantour project "Biodiversity Inventory", our stay also supported conservation of local nature.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Ideal holiday for people seeking quiet stay close to undisturbed nature. Not good for people seeking entertainment.
