Kelly Windsor review 7 Aug 2009
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Everything as this was our honeymoon but all the little touches the cream cakes and the fantastic breakfast hamper!
2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Don’t hesitate in booking as it is really popular and worth every penny. The property is in a quiet location but if you don’t want to go far there a couple of pubs up the road and they also do take away.
3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?
Yes definitely, they are very green and all the money is reinvested and you can tell!
4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
10/10 it was fantastic couldn’t fault it. My daughter who is 1 and half really enjoyed it with all the animals would really recommend. Best holiday in the UK.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
The aptly named 'Secret Garden' suite at the cottages indeed feels like you have discovered somewhere special. Nestled in the Devon countryside the cottages provide a retreat for anyone wanting to have a romantic or relaxing get away. The Secret Garden Suite is very luxurious, with double water-bed, double shower, TV in bathroom, individual dressing room area and conservatory all decorated beautifully. The hamper breakfasts added to the luxury feel of our stay.
2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

My husband and I spent two days at the cottages; walking around the grounds, taking in the scenic landscape. We also tried out local treats of the 'Chi mind body and spirit' which provided a relaxing massage and then tried the local food at 'The 'Golden Lion' pub and 'Weirmarsh' restaurant, both providing lovely meals and service.
3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?
The accommodation is not only eco in its power supply but in providing a haven for wildlife. It has several alpacas, chickens, ducks and dogs as well as abundant trout and wildlife if you are lucky enough to catch a glimpse.

Whilst walking around at sunset we were impressed to view a buzzard flying free above the meadow fields. Feeding the trout was brilliant fun and I would suggest this holiday to anyone interested in fishing.
4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
It really was a treat to visit and good to know that luxury can be achieved with a low environmental impact. We felt that we could completely relax with the scenery and local people and amenities making this a very pleasant stay. We are thinking that it would be lovely to return in winter.
