Holiday Reviews

We invite every traveller who books a holiday via us to send in a review. Because we don't run the holidays they're completely independent and unedited... remember to read between the lines though, as two people on the same trip can have different views!

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The complete relaxation. I have never felt so chilled, or at ease with myself. All treatments were wonderful, and the fact that the retreat was situated out on its own in the middle of the countryside ensured that our time spent there was peaceful and tranquill.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Look out for the sign posts, as the complex is quite well hidden! Make sure you bring a book or someting to do in the evenings.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

We were reminded of our environmental responsibilities while we were there. Three bins were provided for non-recyclable, recyclable, and compost, and we were warned against running taps, and leving lights and electrical appliances on.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Absolutely brilliant, money well spent. Can't wait to visit again!!

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Experiencing the wonderful and underused countryside in this part of Ireland.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Always take waterproofs with you wherever you go. The weather can change in an instant. Visit Marble Arch Caves, Florence Court, Arigna Mining Experience, Strandhill, Parke's Castle, etc.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

Yes. We shopped in the local shops and ate in locally owned cafes rather than global chains. We went on walks in the local area, and as the nearest shops and pubs are only 20 minutes walk away, we walked rather than drive. The Eco Lodges themselves are supremely eco-efficient.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Very enjoyable. A lovely part of Ireland with lots to do and places to visit. Not many other tourists around, which is good.
