Holiday Reviews
We invite every traveller who books a holiday via us to send in a review. Because we don't run the holidays they're completely independent and unedited... remember to read between the lines though, as two people on the same trip can have different views!

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
The very friendly greeting from Magui & her English speaking staff member, the freshly squeezed orange juice from the fruit growing in the garden, the very twisting mountain roads of the island and the route to the hotel. Found the use of the old buildings/renovation of them fascinating, retention of old features in the rooms (we had an old oven in ours), the different levels of the garden and the fruit trees - just wonderful.
2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Unless you are sure of it being warm weather or are an all weather walker you need to hire a car to get around - you can get eco friendly ones from the major firms. We went in December and chilly is definitely the best way to describe the weather at the hotel - 8 degrees there compared to 22degrees on the coast. The botanic gardens are well worth a visit. Lots of walks possible from the door - but you really have to ask for the information and not much is in English at the hotel.
3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?
Much evidence of local employment directly at the hotel, solar hot water & bio mass boiler with a log fire in the guest lounge - so lots of effort taken to minimised impact. Fruit trees in garden and lots of home grown veg.
4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Very enjoyable - we had a much needed rest.
