Holiday Reviews
We invite every traveller who books a holiday via us to send in a review. Because we don't run the holidays they're completely independent and unedited... remember to read between the lines though, as two people on the same trip can have different views!

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
The whole experience of being somewhere completely different, the culture, language, food, and people. The colours and smells.
2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
It's handy to have someone show you round the souks and decent shops at the beginning of the holiday, so you get your bearings. But don't be afraid to venture out on your own after that, even if you are travelling alone. You will meet people if you want to (but you can avoid doing so if you don't!) and as long as you are fairly streetwise, go and explore on your own. Also don't be afraid to go by foot. You will come across odd shops and and backstreet cafes much more easily if you go by foot. Marrakech is more easily done by foot, than you might think even up to the newer part of the city. Finally, wherever you're staying, don't be afraid to go and have lunch or drinks in one of the posh hotels. It's worth it!
3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?
Yes, local people were employed at the riad and the cooking course included a trip to the local market to buy local fresh produce, for example.
4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Just what the doctor ordered.
