1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Having a 4 foot male iguana stroll across the swimming pool grounds while sunbathing only 3 feet away! The barman, Ronnie, was a real gem as well. If it wasn't for his local knowledge, quality service and genuine personality we would probably have given this accommodation a far lesser evaluation.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

We were not made aware of the fact that this lodge is so popular with families with small children and this somewhat spoilt our stay at the lodge. After all, we were lead to believe that it was perfect for honeymooners and couples like us. Instead, we were the ONLY couple there!

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

I feel that the lodge do a good job on the eco-friendly side of things and that their staff do all that they can to promote this fact.

Sadly, my star rating for this accommodation after our stay could be no more than 3 stars ***

First of all, I would like to thank you for the time you spend sending us the feedback you provide us with. I’m sorry to hear that you did not have the honeymoon that you expected to have in our Ecolodge. It is well known around the world as one of the best destinations for honeymooners as well as for families. Even though we do not encourage children under 5 years old due the fact of potential hazards that they might find in the rain forest and also because the parents have to exercise more care and give more attention to their children here than in a more traditional family type resort. Parents have found that our accommodation is one of the best places to teach their children that they can spend their holidays in a real responsible way that benefits the environment as well as supports the education and increases the life standard of the Osa community.

There are three seasons of the year that we mostly receive families mainly from U.S.A. Christmas/new eve, spring break and school vacations. The rest of the year we have mostly couples. Unfortunately, this year your dates matched with the spring break and this situation somehow spoilt your stay and your perception of our Ecolodge. Again, we appreciate your feedback. It is very helpful for us and the lesson learned is that we have to work on our communication.
