Holiday Reviews
We invite every traveller who books a holiday via us to send in a review. Because we don't run the holidays they're completely independent and unedited... remember to read between the lines though, as two people on the same trip can have different views!

Kayaking in Turkey, Turquoise coast, independent reviews

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Too many to say, although the first night, in a secluded bay, when a leatherback turtle turned up and caused a bit of excitement, was pretty good.
2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
I never had any problem with a single kayak like the previous reviewer. I did take way too many clothes, next time I'll be travelling a lot lighter. I would also make sure that if you agree to any extras, then you know up front the cost. We agreed to stay with the boat for an extra day, and this caused a little bit of ill feeling, as it was more expensive than we first thought.
3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?
Definitely minimized the impact on the local environment.
4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
This was a fantastic week. The other people were just brilliant, as were the guides. I would not hesitate to recommend this holiday, and I can't wait until next year to go again.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Spending the night wild camping on a small island with Byzantine ruins, watching the sun go down, looking at the stars and sitting around the camp fire. You wouldn't be allowed anywhere near a place like that in the UK, let alone, camp there and light a fire! Great experience.
2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Use something as a cushion in the kayak.
3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?
Yes.
4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Excellent. Each day seem to get better and better. The guide was brilliant and we also had a good bunch of people which helped.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
I think one of the most memorable nights was camping in a beautiful secluded cove, which our Guide had taken us to as it was so quiet, we went over the other side of the island for a wonderful meal and came back to rocking house music , an 18 - 30 Thomas Cook Party Boat had anchored in our lovely bay.. grim! So not a lot of sleep that night. I loved the fact we were kayaking along in the middle of the ocean, roasting hot and out of nowhere an Ice Cream Van speed boat used to appear, perfect. There are so many highlights as it really was a wonderful holiday, we had an usually small group so we really got to know our guide and it was like we were all on holiday together, rather than a barrier. The amount of Kayaking we did each day was spot on, you were never too shattered or too reluctant to go in.
2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Double check if you do request a single Kayak that it gets through to the local office. If you are on your own, make sure you are easy going enough to share a tent with other holiday makers you don't know.
3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?
Yes, we did both wild camping and camping by family run Restaurants.. For example one family would live on an island being paid by the government to look after it and we would eat and camp there.
4. Any other comments?
4 Stars - It was fab.
