Adventure holiday in Nepal, independent reviews

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The white water rafting was absolutely fantastic - it was a great & fun way to get to know the rest of the group - as well as being very exciting. The highlight for me when was everyone kept falling in - hilarious!!

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Definitely wear technical tops & trousers for the hiking as when the sun shone it was very hot. The technical (quick dry trousers) v useful also for the white water rafting as there was only an hour of sunlight to dry clothes during rafting and trek.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

Definitely. The local people were one of the highlights as they were just so lovely. We were told very clearly how to limit the impact of our travels on them and to ensure we didn't foster a 'hassle westerners for money' culture - I went onto India afterwards and the difference in the locals attitudes were so marked. I very much hope that visitors to Nepal continue to abide by the "rules" so that the begging & hawking doesn't become similar to India. The tour operator were very good about taking our litter with us and some people in the group picked up litter left by others before us - so we actually left it cleaner than when we arrived

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Superb - can't recommend it enough.
