1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Every day was packed with exciting adventures. The children and adults enjoyed everything.
2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Be prepared for change of itinerary if the weather is not as expected. The tour leaders had everything under control.
3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?
Very much so, apart from the skidoos but they were such fun!!!
4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Excellent. We didn`t want to leave Karelia!

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
All of it was great. Good activities, good accommodation, good food, good guides, etc. Weather was unusually warm for Finland (? global warming), so there was less snow than usual - can't help that.
2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Thermals provided were great - don't need a lot of clothes. Try the Finnish saunas and the dips in the icy lakes. Take all you might need as there are no shops around - it IS remote.
3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?
yes
4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
excellent

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
I would say that the most memorable part was being pulled through the snow by the team of huskies. For my teenage son, snowboarding was definitely the highlight of the trip. Rolling around in the snow after a sauna was also quite a remarkable sensation!
2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Book early! Trips this good will get snapped up quickly when the word gets around how good they are!
3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?
Yes. In an area where local unemployment is running at over 30%, tourism offers a lot to the region. All the arrangements were made with local rather than international service providers.
4. Any other comments?
This operator is to be congratulated for organising an excellent holiday, with just the right balance between activities and leisure time. The guide was outstanding - his knowledge of the Finnish language and culture were impressive and he established a great rapport with the kids.
