Holiday Reviews
We invite every traveller who books a holiday via us to send in a review. Because we don't run the holidays they're completely independent and unedited... remember to read between the lines though, as two people on the same trip can have different views!

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
There were so many that it is hard to say - eating breakfast at the hotel, while feeding fish and turtles in the river, white water rafting along a river with spectacular scenery, leaping into rock pools on a hot day canyoning, swimming in the Mediterranean after an invigorating hike, eating trout at an idyllic "tree house" type restaurant after biking through little villages, sea kayaking to mud baths, enjoying the baths and then cleaning off in a lake, where we caught fish with our hands... The hotel was beautiful, the family hosts friendly and the pool a great size with very few to use it.
2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Space the activity days a little rather than doing all 5 in a row. A day's break after 2 or 3 would be an advantage, another after day 4 would be even better. Take lots of high factor suntan cream and a good insect repellent. One needs at least 2 sets of swimwear - one to get dirty on the activity days and another for lounging in the hotel pool.
3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?
Yes, definitely. All the suppliers of services - the hotel management and staff, taxi drivers, guides, restaurant owners, boatmen etc were local. Not a large western organisation in sight.
4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Brilliant.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Either the canyoning or white water rafting - both were amazing and exciting. The scenery near Dalyan in Turkey was beautiful and so uncrowded. You felt you were the only group to discover these spots.
2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Be fit! The heat is very draining but the guides (Sally or Ahmet) are so helpful and kind, that the many stops to jump into the water is much appreciated. Enjoy the fun and ensure you have proper footwear. Rocks can be very unforgiving on light boat shoes!
3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?
Everywhere we went we used local drivers, guides and restaurants. The fruit came from Ahmets own garden. We left no litter and by using local produce and human powered transport the majority of the time helped the environment.
4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
We loved this holiday. My husband and I really felt we reconnected with our 2 teenage children during the activities. We did things as a family again and the activities were both taxing but great fun. At the Yunus hotel we were treated like one of the family, even taught how to belly dance! The air-conditioned rooms were a god send.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
White water rafting, down a clear cold river. The scenery was fantastic and the ride was very thrilling. Our guide was very competent and we felt very safe and well looked after.
2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
The holiday was quite strenuous so don't use this holiday as a way to get fit, be fit for the holiday before you go.
3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?
Local people were running our hotel and the some of our guides were Turkish. We ate in local restaurants and the hotel used local produce in the meals they provided. We crossed the river nearby to get to some ruins and the rowing boat service was run by a co-operative run by local women from the village. We were told about this by our guide who advised that if we wanted to cross the river this was a possibility. The ladies also ran the restaurant where we stopped for lunch which we enjoyed.
4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Very good holiday, friendly reliable guides who were excellent. Friendly people at our hotel which was well run clean and comfortable-fantastic breakfasts, which we ate near the river in the open air. Lovely swimming pool.
