Holiday Reviews

We invite every traveller who books a holiday via us to send in a review. Because we don't run the holidays they're completely independent and unedited... remember to read between the lines though, as two people on the same trip can have different views!

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The beautiful scenery, fresh air, exercise, friendly local people, enthusiastic local manager with great attention to detail, and last but not least, the delicious gourmet packed lunches!

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Use sun screen, even if you are not expecting to burn. Buy the local detailed walking map, sold at the hotel, at the start of your week, to supplement the excellent walk descriptions provided by the company. It's not essential, but, especially if you are used to map reading, it would add to your enjoyment.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

Yes - the use of a family run hotel, purchase of local produce, packed lunches with no throw away packaging...

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

We thoroughly enjoyed this holiday, which we booked at the last minute, and returned feeling that it had done us good.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Walking to the top of a Pyrenees mountain in lovely weather with a brilliant guide and being given the most delicious packed lunch I have ever had. And then walking down to go swimming in crystal clear lakes before walking home - absolutely exactly what we wanted.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Don't expect a hectic nightlife in October - so go armed with good books!!!

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

Certainly helped the local bar's economy!! And nice to eat in very local restaurants with very fresh local food.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Brilliant. 4.5 stars (my honeymoon was better, but you'll never beat that).

The care given us by the Tour Manager, Edward.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Do it! Be realistic about your endurance, and the kinds of slopes you want to climb. They are very variable, and all quite wonderful.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

Yes.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Top of the list.
