Holiday Reviews

We invite every traveller who books a holiday via us to send in a review. Because we don't run the holidays they're completely independent and unedited... remember to read between the lines though, as two people on the same trip can have different views!

Family activity holidays in Greece, independent reviews

Reviewed 1 Sep 2008 by Matt Wilkes

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The range of activities was excellent with a wide variety of equipment and good safety measures. The staff were friendly, enthusiastic and highly motivated with a high degree of expertise. The quality of the childcare was excellent with very caring staff and an amazing array of activities for young children (sailing, kayaking and 'windsurfing' plus craft activities and sandcastle building for 6 year olds). The small size of the hotel meant that the other guests who were strangers at the start of the holiday quickly became friends.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

It is worth paying the extra for your child to join 'Hot Shots' (if they are old enough) as they very quickly learn the basics of windsurfing and sailing. My 10 year old son had never sailed before this holiday and after three days of high quality tuition was sailing a dinghy in the sea.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

Yes, we had all of our meals in the local town where most of the meals were from locally produced and sourced ingredients. The operator we booked with encourage their customers to think about the environmental impact of their actions while on holiday.
