1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Without doubt, the 2 day husky safari, when we stayed overnight in a wilderness cabin, overlooking a frozen lake. The dogs were wonderful, and the fact that we had real hands on experience with them made it all the more exciting. Nothing can beat travelling across a frozen lake, pulled by your own team of dogs - the silence, the views - and the slight panic as you realise you are about to turn a corner and go downhill at the same time!

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

The clothing provided by the hotel was brilliant - no need to take other than what is recommended in the brochure. A travel kettle might be useful, if you are a big tea or coffee drinker, as it was quite expensive to buy.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

I feel that our outings to the reindeer museum, and the reindeer safari, undoubtedly supported local people. Our being there helps creates jobs, and there seems to be an increasing awareness of environmental impact (we sorted the waste very carefully in the wilderness cabin).

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

We have run out of superlatives! It was truly amazing - every minute. Everything was perfect - the weather, our guide, the snow, the sun, the group we were in, the hotel, the activities, the food. My only concern is that we are going to be raving about the holiday for ever, and may lose some friends! Having said that, some are already looking into going themselves.
