Holiday Reviews
We invite every traveller who books a holiday via us to send in a review. Because we don't run the holidays they're completely independent and unedited... remember to read between the lines though, as two people on the same trip can have different views!

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Bush camping miles from any other human beings in Desert Country (somewhere between Curtin Springs and King's Creek Stations) - and sleeping under the stars every night.
2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Minimise your luggage (you need the bare minimum in clothes) and make sure you have a warm sleeping bag if travelling in winter months.
3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?
Yes, in reinforcing the message of reconciliation and the understanding of aboriginal cultural values and heritage, and low impact camping.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Sleeping around a camp fire in swags looking at the amazing night sky.
2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Be prepared to spend quite a lot of time driving between destinations in a not very comfortable vehicle.
3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?
In the main, but there are a couple of issues that were raised: an early stop on the first day of the trip at a 'camel farm' was disturbing as the animals - camels and kangaroos - were kept in very very deprived conditions for no reason other than the pleasure of the spectators. This seemed far from the environmental claims made by the operator and should be addressed asap. When we arrived at Uluru we received a request from the traditional owners of the land in the official papers we were given not to climb the mount, one member of the tour party chose to ignore this request. It seems to me that if someone signs up for this kind of holiday they should also be signing up to not do this and that it wouldn't be a problem for you to make this a clause in signing up for the holiday.
4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Great. The one real problem was that the dietary requirements that I had registered with the company were not fully met. I have allergies that meant that the breakfast provided on the first morning, and 2 lunches were unsuitable. Fortunately I'd brought some of my own food (leftovers from the previous day - so really not very much at all) that I used for a couple of meals. I also had to buy some food myself during the trip to make up for the lack.
