1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

There were many high points, but the best of all was seeing the Miyako Odori (Cherry Blossom Dance) in the Gion district of Kyoto.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

I can't really think of anything to suggest here because the itinerary provided by this operator covered everything and the organisation was excellent.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

The accommodation was very well chosen and most of the meals were prepared using ingredients sourced locally. Lunch provided during the cycling days was also bought locally and therefore there was of benefit. Care was also taken not to leave litter. (Top marks go to Masa Tanaka the support driver!)

4. Any other comments?

The holiday was absolutely terrific. I would recommend it to anyone who wants an introduction to Japan along with some great cycling. It was definitely a five star holiday.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The absolutely spectacular scenery we cycled across, past, over. The countryside and mountains in Japan are amazing!

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Pack light, bring some warm stuff, it can get cold on some days. And bring a small pocket camera and carry it with you as you cycle, sometimes you turn a corner and there's just the most amazing view that you'll never get another chance to see. Small pocket camera a must!

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

Yes, certainly.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

We are just back from a holiday in Japan. A great way to see Japan in a very personal way- being part of the scene, as you are when on bike.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Just be as fit as you can be.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

Very much so - we stayed in small hotels generally or riocans? Cycling could hardly be greener as a holiday mode.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Very good to excellent.
